Blogging, at its core, is a means for people to informally express ideas. These ideas initially form as lone silos waiting to be discovered. Worthy ideas are eventually found by other stray bloggers. They expand upon the idea either by commenting on the original or by creating a new post. Very worthy ideas are heavily discussed and eventually turn into a form of collective intelligence.
Helping to generate collective intelligence is the basis for one of the key ideas behind this blog. Every post I create will have “inspiration points”. In most cases these will be links to similar blog entries that have helped to either inspire or refine one of my ideas.
I also believe it is important to help promote fellow bloggers who are putting out quality information. Inspiration points will be one way for me to share the juice.
